Art Bank Hosts Annual Student Art Show
The fourth Annual Student Art Show will take place this May 5th & 6th, 12th & 13th, and 19th & 20th from 10 am to 4 pm at the Ely Art Bank.
Rose Mehlhaff , the Art Instructor at White Pine High School, works with the students each year preparing their best work to be displayed to this public event. Mrs. Mehlhaff teaches various art mediums including drawing in pencil, charcoal and pastels. Some of her students are first year students and some are in their third year of class.
Part of the fun for the students is seeing their work on display and taking time while in the Art Bank to critique all of the work, even making thoughtful suggestions and comments to the artist..
Also on display at this time will be the Wally Cuchine Art Collection. This exhibit showcases over 40 years of Nevada art by Nevada artists. This collection of painting depicts the landscape and people of Nevada.
The Art Bank hours are Thursday 10 am to 2 pm; Friday and Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm; and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. The Art Bank is located at
